Blake,One thing to consider is how to show notation or at least tab on part of the screen. I don't know how to do this, but it is a common part of most video guitar lessons, as well as clearly showing what your hands are doing.
You should consider www.truefire.com and getting signed up there as an instructor. They sell whole courses from folks, but one thing they offer are video lesson blogs where people post free lessons to build a following and create interest for their paid offerings.
Here's just one example from a guy who specializes in metal. http://tinyurl.com/c8mxqtwThere are guys on there specializing in everything, from flatpicked acoustic, to blues, to jazz, to dealing with the psychological issues around performing.

Hey all, anyone know of a accessible program for recording a video with your webcam for youtube and other things? Also, anyone have any idea why people prefer to record with regular cameras instead of a more expensive webcam? What I am wanting to do is record some guitar lessons and put them on an online site for people to pay a monthly membership to have access to. The webcam that I have has a video resolution of 720 P as well as 8 MP for taking pictures. Now is this ok for letting people stream from the net? Or maybe putting on DVD or something? They had another webcam that was 1080 P for video and was 10 MP and I thought about buying that one but wanted some other ideas first. If I could use this stuff to record the videos and it would be good enough quality to put online, this might be easier and more accessible then memoriseing the layout of a camera. So any ideas? I have heard that most webcams don't live up to there spects. PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
