I haven't tried the "Cut" command yet.

delete don't work

Hi Annabelle, it's Steve,

I did say I'd get back to you if I found out what to do.

I did find away around this, I read in the Cake talking document something
about deleted space moving forward. in this example we have a song that
starts on bar 1 and finishes on bar 100, however, Sonar is saying that the
project is 800 bars long.
Imagine that this example is your song starting at bar 1 and finishing at
bar 100, , am I correct in thinking that you've already tried selecting all
tracks from bar 100 thru bar 800 and whilst in the delete menu checking all
the boxes and it didn't work. You've also tried the same steps but using cut
and it didn't work either?

Ok, try this,
1: unfreeze all the tracks,

2: select all tracks from bar 1 to bar 100, which is the duration of the
song example,

3: copy it,

4: paste the song at bar 800, make sure it's safely there,

5: Now select all tracks from bar 1 thru bar 800,

6: Finally go to delete menu and check all the boxes and press OK.

You'll now not only have a song that starts at bar 1 and finishes at bar
100, the Sonar project will start at bar 1 and finish at bar 100.

Once I realised that delete moves forward, I had a good confident feeling
that this would work and it does.
