  I'm no expert, but yes, you can control VST plugs.  Not sure how much audio 
you can control other than the mixer functions.

  It is worth noting that most VST will not be controlable right off the mark, 
buty most new ones come with Midi learn functionality that speeds up the 
process.  Also worth remember that you'll likely need some sighted assistance 
to set things up initially.
