Hi,

I hope I'm not being stupid here, but it sounds like he's having a problem with the expression "out of the box." This means, at least to me, that the software in question is accessible without the need for any additional programming or scripts. You see, many, many years ago, software used to be delivered in these huge boxes which required several strong men to carry. E.G. when Microsoft started offering Windows XP for the Apple II series, it was before the disk drive became available, so it was sent on literally thousands upon thousands of regular old analog cassettes. The box it came in weighed several hundred pounds, and you didn't even get a cassette player to hook up to your Apple, you had to provide your own!
Okay, I got a little carried away, but you get the idea.
Jayson

Phil replied: CT for Sonar 6 won't work in Sonar 7 without some serious twiquing by the user and even if it did, you wouldn't have accessibility to views such as the step sequencer, as that view will only bee scripted in the CT for Sonar 7 release.

Patrick wrote: Phil you wrote by 6 "it already is out of the box" what do you mean by
that? Is it already done?

Phil replied: I mean that the CD ripping wizard is accessible out of the box.

Patrick wrote: 1: making the new instruments "DropZone Sample player/synth"
accessible.

Phil replied: there are already free HSC scripts out there for that. So, if
you wanted to, you
could install Sonar 7 then, grab the HSC sets and start using these
softsynthes. I am sure the CT 7
will support all of that but, if you want to get going now then you can with
HSC and CT for Sonar 6.

Patrick wrote: the Z3TA+ 1.5 waveshaping synthesizer.

Currently there isn't any HSC support for that however, we will see what can
be done over the next
week or so.

Patrick wrote: Dimension LE (featuring Garritan
Pocket Orchestra), Rapture LE, have been made accessible in Sonar 6
already. I hope they are still accessible.

Phil replied: Dimension is accessible in CT for Sonar 6, I don't think that
Rapture is. However,
you can get HSC sets for Dimension LE and Pro, Rapture LE and the full
version of Rapture now if you
like and use them with CT for Sonar 6.

Patrick wrote: 2: making the Step Sequencer accessible

Phil replied: that should be relatively easy to do as all of the required
information is being sent
to the CWACCESS Window.

Patrick wrote: 3: making the "Internal sidechaining" accessible

Phil replied: that already is in Sonar 7 as the outputs are exposed to Sonar
7.

Patrick wrote: 4. making the "LP-64 Mastering EQ", the "LP-64 Multiband",
and the "Boost
11" accessible

Phil replied: there are already HSC sets for all of those out.

5. Making sonar's new midi functions so called "Smart MIDI tools" accessible

Phil replied: I don't think that's going to happen as all of those are
accessed in the PrV view
which, isn't acessable for us.

Patrick wrote: 6. making the "Integrated Audio CD ripping and burning"
accessible

Phil replied: it already is out of the box.
