Well, it depends on how far back you are going. You can load a sonar 7 file
into sonar 6, and you can load a sonar 6 file into sonar 5. I think there were
significant changes in the file format from sonar 4 to sonar 5.

No, it is not backwards compatible. You can't save in later version and then
try to bring them back in earlier versions of Sonar.

Hi. Is it possible to export a cwb file from Sonar 6 and import it in Sonar
4? I tried with a cwb file with only pure audio tracks without any effects and
a drumtrack where cakewalk tts1 was used, wich should be the same synth in
sonar 4 as far as I know.

When I try to load it in sonar 4, some error message comes up telling that
things can sound different because the file is saved in a newer version and
there's an ok button. But the project doesn't open at all when ok is pressed.
Is there any settings I can change for the saving or loading that would help?

    Cheers

    /Henrik
