Start with the lower resolution. I think otherwise you'll get a complaint
from CakeTalking when you start Sonar.

Subject: [ddots-l] CakeTalking & screen resolutions

Hi: I am on the brink of a first time install of sonar 8.5 and latest CT
on a 64 bit Win 7 PC with JFW 12 and a Mackie 820i firewire mixer / AI
installed. I ran across a couple of comments in the instructions
regarding screen resolution;

1. The d-dots file (1SettingsWindows7.rtf) section 9.1 recommends a
1024x768 screen resolution.

2. The d-dots file (CakeTalkingTutorialForSonar.doc) section 66C. says
the "CakeTalking sub menu accessed from Start Menu/Programs" Check
Window Settings will tell you if your screen resolution and color depth
are within CakeTalking specs or not.

My basic question; Should I leave my system as is (with its default high
resolution of 1920x1280), and proceed with CT install, THEN check with
instruction #2 above ; OR do I have to use the low resolution of
1024x768 mentioned in #1 above?

I'm a legally blind low vision JFW user who's already played with visual
elements and themes to more or less satisfy my visual needs. My vision
is such that I rely far more on JFW than vision to function and navigate
the PC; but I'd rather not tamper with screen res just to accommodate CT
if it's not necessary?

Thx
