[ddots-l] Clearing Selections in Sound Forge

Hello everyone,

The one thing I haven't figured out how to do without moving to the
beginning or to the end of files in Sound Forge or closing the program and
reopening it to deselect a region or chunk of a file to reset these
positions is how to clear selected file areas. To select a file region or
chunk in Sound Forge one must press the letter "I" to begin the selection
and the letter "O" to terminate it. If before you perform an operation on
the selected region or chunk you decide to change the beginning or
termination points of the selection you should be able to enter a command to
deselect it and reset the start and end points of the selection. Can one
tell me how to do this without having to go through the nonsense I described
above? That will save me much time and frustration when resetting start and
end points of a selected file region or chunk. I use Sound Forge 55 and
Audio Studio 8. Thanks for your help.

Peter Donahue

I know that f11 reads the left and f12 reads the right
In soundforge What I want to know is how can I read both of them in Sonar
and if the channel that Sonar is reading does not clip but the other channel
clips then how would you know for sure if your track is clipping until you
play it in sound forge?

May the peace of God which passes all understanding gard your heart and
mind in Christ Jesus.

God bless you!

Mike,

Are you referring to F12 and F11 in Sonar, or Sound forge?

Dave
