Hi Mark, Your and my yamaha are a little bit the same, they are stagepianos. I have connected my piano to a focusrite audiointerface. In de mixcontrol you can make choices where you will have record the sound of your midi. But where can I find the midifiles off 16 tracks and second: How can you when you record for example 8 tracks convert them to 1 mp3 file? Are the patches included into sonar? and if not where can I find some? regards Johan _____ Van: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Namens Mark Dew Verzonden: woensdag 6 juni 2012 19:27 Aan: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Onderwerp: [ddots-l] Re: Configuring and chosing midi-channels Hello, I have the p90 which I believe is pretty much like the p70. Load the AAA 16 track midi tempolate. Connect midi cables to your computer and p70. The p70 only has a few sounds aboard on it, I think around 24 or so. Also, there are no drums on it. Find a basic midi file that has a few tracks on it such as a piano and bass track. Load the midi file into Sonar. Right arrow to patch and use the plus and minus keys to change the patch. Play the file as you do so and you will here the p70 change sounds. I know for sure patch 1 is grand piano and patch 33 is acoustic bass. If you have Sonar 8.5 producer you can select soft synths for the tracks and use the p70 as a midi input device.
