Does the shorted out keys on your Motif happen with all patches or just the
one you are currently working on?

Subject: [ddots-l] Continued Problem Keys on Motif and More
Hello to all on the list.
I had mentioned in a previous post that my Yamaha Motif XF6 has three or
four keys that are, for lack of a better word, shorting out. I used
compressed air and had no change. This being the case, I have continued to
work on kinks in the connection between my Yamaha SY-77 and Sonar via a MIDI
Sport 2x2 Anniversary edition. As I stated in my most recent reply, it
seemed that I figured out the latency issue, about a three second delay from
key to output. Alass, this is not true. D!J!X! suggested a firmware update
for the MIDI Sport. I am fairly computer savvy but am not 100 percent sure
that I have the latest firmware and if not, how to go about updating it.
For most input, I have been able to get by with transposing down an octave
and using the Motif. As you can imagine, that is a pain and not always
possible for certain situations.
Any guidance or suggestions, as always, are appreciated.
