I've actually tried the Time Pitch Stretch, but it makes the audio sound a
bit strange, like it's coming from a machine. Wouldn't it be interesting if
Sonar came with Groove ControlT, a feature that's available in Stylus RMX?

I would add that if the wave file you are importing is not acidized, such as
a song imported from a CD, you can change the tempo by:
Pressing alt-control to select the entire track
Alt-P to go to the process menu
Select audio effects
Select CakeWalk effects
Select time/pitch stretch 2 and make the adjustments.
