[ddots-l] DAW Troubleshooting

Hi folks.
I'm helping a friend perform some maintenance on her older XP
machine, mostly to see how much performance we can squeeze out of
it for music work.
Is there a list somewhere online of common items one finds in the
Startup tab of MSConfig, what program they are connected to, etc.?
I've always used Blackviper for keeping track of Windows services
and their dependencies. Does something similar exist for startup items?
