Alternatively, if you like the performance you've recorded, then cut the string 
track, and paste it in earlier than the original?  

Hopefully, the project didn't start at bar 1, if it duz, then just move the 
entire project forward a few bars.  

Now, you can cut your string track and paste it in earlier than its original 
start point...  

You'll have to experiment with the amount, it could be as much as half a bar, 
just mess around 'til you're happy...  

I hope you understand wot I'm saying...

    As some of you know, there's the problem of midi notes in string patches 
not responding immediately at it's full volume when activated.  What is the 
best way to edit such imperfection?  Is there an improvement in newer software?
