Michele,

To insert a new key signature or to overwrite one, you first need to select
the entire bar (Ctrl-right arrow from beat #1). Then press K to put in the
key signature desired.

I think that you are ending up in an unknown bar because you haven't first
selected the entire bar.

Dave

Subject: [ddots-l] Entering Key Signatures

Hi Sibelius buffs. I have another question about key signatures, this
time regarding entering them.

I know to press k, find the key signature I want and then press enter,
but then I always end up at the beginning of the score, and don't always
remember what bar I'm up to. Lately, when I've tried to "go to" option
by pressing f5, It'll take me to the requested bar but will then tell me
there's rests in the previous bars, even in the ones I know I've already
entered notes in, such as bars one and two.

Has anybody else had this problem and do they know any work arounds?

Would be most obliged for any hints and am deeply grateful for a list
like this where I can finally ask these questions.

Cheers!

Michele
