Hi Folks
Just wanted to say, I'm now doing the switch from Sonar to Reaper, and am
really excited to start working with the new program.
I really appreciate all the awesome tips and advice I received from the group
while figuring out how to make the transition.
I have what I think is a quick question for the group.
I've never done that classic eq sweep that's in so much EDM and other music,
and I really need to do one for a new project I'm working on. It's one that
would effect the whole mix.
I've sorta found what I think is a way to mostly get it done, but I got stuck.
It's probably not the right or even maybe easiest way, so please feel free to
school me if I'm way off lol.
I selected the section I wanted to sweep, sent it all to a separate bus, added
an eq effect, and put a lowpass filter on the mid eq frequency.
That's where I got stuck because I saw that the gain for that eq control locks
when you set that filter, and I couldn't figure out how to automate it.
This is still in Sonar, probably my last project for that DAW.
Thanks
Ron
