Hi Jay.

We show that you have CakeTalking 8.5. Some of what you wrote in your message
might be a type-o, so check the following to be sure.

First, you wrote that you're using Sonar 8.52, but you need Sonar 8.53. The
8.53 patch is free from Cakewalk. It is absolutely required for CakeTalking
8.5, though.

I've seen that specific error that you quoted when some people try to install
CakeTalking from the Dancing Dots DVD. Not sure why it happens. That isn't a
problem, as you can always download and run the newest version of the installer
from the web.

If that still doesn't help, please send me a message directly by using the
support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> address, or call the
Dancing Dots main number, and I'll help you get going with 8.5.

Bryan

Subject: [ddots-l] File Error when installing caketalking in windows7?
Hi all
I am having a problem installing caketalking 8 with sonar 8.5.2 under win 7 64
bit. As it's installing, the following message comes up

Error
The file Triple A layout.cakewalkWindowLayout could not be opened. Please check
that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination
directory. Access is denied.

I also tried running the setup as administrator. I am installing it from the
dancing dots product disk.
Thanks for any help
Jay
