Chad,

I too share your frustrations with the Firebox mixer window.

One thing that might help with Sonar not recognizing it, is to always unplug it
prior to shutting your computer down, then re-plugging it in again once the
computer has been completely restarted.

This should help with Sonar, but unfortunately there is not a JAWS fix that I'm
aware of for the mixer window.

There are a few other annoying things the Firebox will do, one that comes to
mind is that often it won't send the signal plugged into one of the two front
inputs out to my monitors. The tracks I've recorded with it will play just
fine, but if I want to hear what I'm playing when working out new lines for the
tune, it won't cooperate. This can be easily fixed by either turning on input
monitoring, or connecting a speaker earlier on in the signal flow... but it
makes recording with headphones impossible when using a less complicated setup.

There are other things, but I'll save them for another time.

Good luck with the Firebox, if you can put up with all it's annoyances, it's a
decent piece of equipment, won't be buying another one that's for sure.

Steve

Hello to everyone. I was wondering if there is any jfw scrips for
the control panel and mixer of the presonus fire box. I'm unable to use it
with out sighted help at this time. Also, when I start sonar (sonar 7) I am
told that my audio drivers are not compatible. If anyone can help me that
would be grate. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window.
  thanks
  Chad
