Hi all, Phil made the coment a couple of days ago about being sure firewire would be around and be used for some time stil. So i had a look around on the net and came across some articles on this subject. It looks like firewire will be around on pro audio and video equepment for a long time. It wil may however become less popular in the consumer market because of the introduction of usb-3, which is cheeper to build in to consumer pc's, laptops and electronic devices. In a few years some audio companies might start using usb-3 on their interfaces but they won't stop using firewire any time soon. As i read up more on this subject i'll keep you informed, i actually hope to come across some recent articles by the main streem manufacturers to look at their individual views. A happy new year to all. Nickus PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
