Sonar doesn't include Vsampler any more, however, speedsoft is still from
what I gather holding vsampler up. Even if it isn't supported, vsampler I
found is a quick way to get lots of things done in a short time and/or
without too much trial and error. I usually use vsampler to sample through
libs and/or sounds and when I find the 1 I want and then open it up in the
lib's original format/plugin. However, for things like battery and halien,
I rather use vsampler which is (with the jawsvid on jaws 6.2) still
accessible...

The Giga sound libraries are used with
Gigastudio3. I think VSampler has been discontinued. Either that, or it
has become inaccessible. If you convert the samples to the SFZ format, the
Giga samples will work with SFZ. Or you could buy GVI from Tascam. At this
point, we don't know how accessible that is. Another alternative... but you
said you wanted it to be easy, so I hesitate to mention this... You could
buy Gigastudio3 from Tascam and use it as a rewire synthe in Sonar. That
isn't easy, but it is doable. If you are willing to put up with a lot of
instability, and if you are not afraid of using the Jaws cursor a lot, then
go for it. Giga sounds sweet. I used to have Gigastudio1 on my computer.
I also upgraded to Gigastudio3, but due to the fact that Sonar refused to
open with Gigastudio installed on my system, I had to uninstall it.
