By default MIDI CC121 is a reset all controllers message that will take
everything back to defaults.

Best wishes.

I've had a similar situation, where after I export a MIDI file from Sibelius
into Sonar, then I go into the Event List, the first events are always
Controllers 121 and 64. What is controller 121 supposed to be? The reason I
ask is because it isn't clearly defined within Sonar's list of Controllers.

Hi Tim,

Thanks so much Tim it works a treat, I only kept controller and wheel
checked in the event view. I took great pleasure leaning on the delete key.

I noticed something very odd about the controllers, they were always:
controller 121, controller 64, controller 1, controller 0 and wheel
controller. those 5 repeated but on the same tick for example bar 7 beat 3
tick 361, would have loads of those five controllers stacked up. They'd
appear again on bar 12 beat 4 tick 721, always a 1 in the tick number, very
odd.

It was like Ant nests, Well the empire of the Ants didn't survive thanks to
you.

Steve,

The easiest way is as follows:

1 - Go intot he Event View for the track;

2 - Press V to bring up the View Options dialog box;

3 - Tab through the various check boxes and uncheck all of the things you
don't want to see. In your example, the only thing you'll leave checked is
"Controllers";

4 - Go to the start of the track by pressing W;

5 - If you're confident that you've only got controller 64 messages on the
track, you can just lean on the Delete key until everything's gone away.

If you need to be more selective about what you're deleting (for example, if
you've got a mix of controller 64 and some others) you'd be best using the
Interpolate dialog to do the job, rather than the method described above.

 Best wishes.

Hi Guys,

I'm updating a track which was originally done on a hardware sequencer. I
just seem to be missing a step when trying to delete the controllers.

I've selected the track press shift F3 for filter and isolated controller 64
then pressed enter. I go back to the event view and all controller 64's are
still sitting there like a load of Ants who are immune to Ant powder.

How do you delete midi controllers yet keep the note events?

Thanks for any help on this one.
