Donny:
If you are using sonar 6, you may have your drum track set to midi echo rather than midi thru. GO over to the midi echo widget on that track and take a look.

Subject: [ddots-l] Help Removing the Notes Behind My Drum Kit

Hi, Everyone. I'm Dani, and I live in Hawaii. I'm new to the list and to
Sonar as well. I've played the keyboard and guitar off and on for years, and
mostly sing. I got in to the Midi and Sonar thing really recently, so am
glad this list is here for support.
I'm trying to put together a project that requires drums on one of its
tracks. I chose mykeyboard-Omni for the input, mykeyboard for the output
(I'm connected to a mixer), channel 10, bank 16256-XG, and the classic drum
kit.
Now things are all mixed up. I can't tell how I did it or how to undo it.
I started with three Midi tracks using guitars and a draw organ. Everything
was going fine till I tried adding the drums.
At this point I have drum sounds, all right, but on _all the tracks, with
notes sounding simultaneously. For example, when I play A-sharp2 I get an
open high hat mixed with a guitar. Kind of neat, but not for this song.
*smile*
I'd appreciate any help. I'm only a little way in to this project, but don't
want to have to redo things if I don't have to.
Thanks,
Dani
