Last time I did that, I built the music track first, then chopped up and
acidized the vocal track into pieces and placed it in... It worked so nicely,
you would never know what a hot mess it was before if I didn't say it lol.
It's a bit more work if you are not use to doing it or working with it, and if
you don't have tools like SF. Alternatively, you could try the live tempo
feature in SONAR, I know you can play in the tempo for sonar to follow; may or
may not work.
