Hi Mike,

Recommended method is as follows:

1 - Backup your work files, together with any templates, etc. in your user
area;

2 - Uninstall Sonar from Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs - say "Yes to
All" when prompted to remove shared components;

3 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\program
files\cakewalk folder, if it still exists;

4 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\documents and
settings\all users\application data\cakewalk folder, if it still exists;

5 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\documents and
settings\(your user name)\application data\cakewalk folder, if it still
exists;

6 - Go into My Documents - there should be a Cakewalk folder within it. If
there is, delete any Sonar and/or Sonar 6 Producer Edition folders within
it;

7 - Using regedit, delete the following keys:

HKey_Current_User|Software|Cakewalk Music Software|Sonar Producer|6.0

And:

HKey_Local_Machine|Software|Cakewalk Music Software|Sonar Producer|6.0

8 - Reboot, then empty your Recycle Bin;

9 - Install again.

Best wishes.

Hey Tim!

Thanx for the breakdown, its just what I feared, by the way, is it it
advisable to remove any reference to Cakewalk/Sonar from the registry too?

Laters

Mike
