I've removed this keystroke from the default file so I don't fall into that trap. I've never used the home row feature, and understand that it's more used by scripters. You can delete the offending keystrokes as follows: JAWS+F2 and then k for keyboard manager then arrow or press "D" until you hear default Tab and press "H" until you find Home Row toggle. There may be two, one for laptop, one for desktop. press the delete key on either or both and accept the Y/N question Alt-F and exit. No more home row. Last night while recording and getting impatient, I accidentally pressed a key on the PC keyboard. Oh, no! But I really said other words I can't post here.) If I move up and down it says Most, Some, None, etc. Moving to the left and right it moves through the numbers 1 through 50 it seems. I couldn't get it to disappear. I saved my project and went to the desktop where it still existed. I rebooted and it was gone. Luckily my project was saved, but it was a pain to have to reboot. This is the second time I have done this accidentally. Is this a JAWS reading selection menu or something to do with XP Pro? And if so, how can I close it next time I do this? Any answers would be appreciated. S.B. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hotmail® has a new way to see what's up with your friends. Check it out.
