Bryan,

Thanks for the advice. I don't have any plans to run this stuff until I know that things have been thoroughly tested. I may install JFW 12 as per your suggestion and keep 11 on the system for the DAW. I know it's working fine, and I certainly don't wanna mess any more up than I have to.

Take care.

Mike

Only minimal testing of Jaws 12 and CakeTalking has taken place. You can run it, but expect some surprise, somewhere. We'll announce official support after further testing and potentially a maintenance release of CakeTalking.

If you're using Sonar/CT on your every day computer, then you could install Jaws 12, leaving Jaws 11 installed, and run Jaws 11 when you plan to use Sonar.

On a DAW, though, try not to be in a hurry to always run the latest version of every piece of software that is available. It is more important to your productivity to run versions that are known to be strongly compatible, than it is to run the latest version of everything. In some cases, the older drivers for gear might be better than the new drivers. Not every Windows update is best for maintaining good performance on a DAW. If history is any teacher, Freedom Scientific will be offering a maintenance release of Jaws 12 in just a few weeks.
