[ddots-l] Re: KVM Switch Question

Well, at the moment I'm getting some buzz pick-up on the mic (a crappy wand
job, 3.5mm - definitely not a recording quality unit) - might be down to the
wiring I've got everywhere, but it's possible it's from within the switch
(I've only had it plugged in a week and I'm in the process of rewiring the
studio).

Best wishes.

The mic is connected to the KVM switch? Never thought of that.

Yeah,

The Belkin Soho range - Phil's got the 2-way and I've got a 2-way and a
4-way. The act as a KVM and audio switch (so you can use the same mic and
speakers across the various machines. The 4-way model allows you to switch
the KVM, but leave the audio feed where it is, switch the audio but leave
the KVM where it is, or move the lot.

Wouldn't know about the wireless angle, as I don't have a wireless
keyboard/mouse (wireless video would be amusing). Wonder if Phil could be
talked into getting his Soho out of the box and trying it with his Logitec
wireless keyboard? Maybe he could be plyed with drink...

  Best wishes.
