If it was project specific then it's likely that something had gone wrong
with that particular project file.

Hello, I have not been following this thread either from the beginning
but,
from my past experience with this type of Latency issue. Make sure all FX
Bins are in by-pass mode. I found that that solved my delay issue. Try
that

I haven't been following this thread from the beginning and this may be a
silly question, but, when you arm a track in Sonar are you making sure
your
echo input is NOT on.

control + A both arms and sets echo on. You don't need nor want that

The operating system is Windows 7 and the latency problem is a delay.  
At the moment for example it is difficult to play electric guitar with 
the drum track as I am hearing the guitar after I strum it.  I tried 
turning down the guitar on the Quad Capture so I wouldn't hear it 
through the monitor.  This made it easier to play along with the drum 
track  but when I listened bac to the recording it was completely out of
sync.

I had the same problem when tapping in the drum track using my midi 
keyboard but was able to quantize that.

Hey Richard. Can you please be a wee bit more specific? E.G. which 
opperating system are you currently using and exactly what kind of 
latency issues are you expeerencing? E.G. pops, crackles, drop outs 
or, some kind of delay? You probably have done all of this however, do 
you have all of the latest drivers installed for that sound card? Was 
on the phone today with a client here in the UK and found that we had 
the latency slider set a wee bit lower than we should have so we were 
getting a little crackeling but no dropouts. All sorted out now and he 
is running a fantastic purpose built PC
