Hey DJX Must confess that I’ve never heard of this unit, and plan to check it
out.
I’m curious that you say that you can’t create your own effect chains not he
Mustang gt100, I do that very thing by selecting one of the empty [resets on
the phone, and then can add, and take out effects at my choosing.
I can also, save the preset, and give it my name is all.
Have you tried downloading the new firmware patch 2.2 which was just released
about a couple of weeks ago?
There they have introduced new features and more effects, and I have been too
that you can reorder your chain, and thus create your own.
Hopefully I didn’t miss understand what you are talking about by saving presets
and giving them your own name with mustang amp, its just that you have to do
this through he Andriod, or iPhone.
That being said I will definitely check this peddle out as I’ looking for
something just like what you are talking about.
I would definitely keep your amp, because the Line6 stuff is great, but I have
found and this is just personal taste, the line6 stuff for some reason is too
digitized, and found it dificult to play fast runs especially in its distorted
mode, where as the boss, and Fender for the price sound absolutely fantastic.
I also find that the line6 sstuff sounds a little too dirty especially when
playing the clean stuff, however as i said that’s just a personal taste.
I like mentioned above will definitely check this unit out.
Thanks as always for letting us know.
Best

Has anybody had any experience, good or bad with this unit? The description
sounds nice, but of course, we all know how these things go when it comes to
accessibility.
Has anybody tried using the HX edit software? With it, you can make your own
presets and edit everything from the computer, and save to the hx stomp. This
is actualy what I’m looking for, a unit that will let me make my own effects
chains and stuff, not just scroll through presets…
Line 6 says in their intro video that you can edit and create presets right
from the unit, but again it’s still to be seen how usable or accessible this
is.
I might just sell my Fender Mustang GT100 and get one of these if it’
somewhat usable or the software can be made to work…
I have to do more research on both hardware and software though when time
permits…
In case you are wondering, this is a small modeler stomp box, not an amp. It
can be used direct to mixer/interface, since it has impulse responses, amps
and cabinets that it can emulate, or you can take the signal out to a cab of
your own or even send to other pedals/amps etc. It has USB for connectivity
and even works as an audio interface.
It supports connecting to an amp using the 4 cable method, stereo returns,
MIDI jacks etc.
On paper it looks like a nice little unit; now I just have to see how it
looks like in reality lol.
If anyone has anything to contribute, please share!
Thanks, DJX
