Hey guys, still working on getting my studio setup, and now getting rid of my oxygen, barely used. Here's a description i wrote up for another list, just in case you don't know much about it, it's a midi controller for controlling midi equipment or soft synths. Read below for more detail: This is a 61 full size touch sensitive keyboard with: pitch and modulation bend wheels, 9 sliders, 8 knobs, 9 push buttons, and 6 mmc (play, pause, record, rewind etc) buttons, all programmable. The controller can store upto 10 setups as presets, and is very easy to program. Instead of using an lcd screen to program, it uses the keyboard keys to launch whatever programming function you need, to the point where no lcd is found on the machine, just lights; so even a person without sight can program it. The manual is easy to understand and gives great detail on how to program the controller. If you don't want to program the oxygen, just select one of the 10 presets, or just use your recording software's midi learn function to assign the existing knobs, sliders or push buttons. This controller can greatly help with propellerhead reason software, as reason has presets for the oxygen. Besides using it with a computer and software, you can also control any external midi gear, such as a tone generator, another keyboard, a sequencer etc. It has both a USB and midi out port, so you are covered in any situation. You can plug in a footswitch pedal to it for sustain or other assignable effect. The controller also has a plug for an accessory power supply (not included), so you can plug it to the wall outlet if need be (make sure you don't have both USB and external power at the same time). If you don't have an AC adapter that works with the oxygen, you can use a USB power adapter or power it from a USB device with standard USB power output; I use to use my motif eS's USB port to power it, while sending midi output through the midi out port. No drivers are required for anything above windows 2000, as this is class compliant, meaning you can literally plug and play! The oxygen also has a dual button system that allows you to quickly transpose the keyboard up or down 12 semitones, or let's you shift octaves up or down. Mostly everything on it is programmable, including the touch/velocity sensitivity of the keys. There's also 2 buttons that let you switch back and forth between which of the 16 midi channels the controller sends out data through, effectively allowing you to use or play different track in a multi-timberal/multitrack setup. I'm asking $200 plus shipping for the oxygen 61, and I've included a USB cable and a foot pedal with it. I can also provide the buyer with the manual in html or text formats.
