Absolutely - it's what the program was specifically written for. Some test users have tried it with other surfaces that implement the Mackie Control Protocol, such as the Behringer BCF2000. This seems to work as well as the hardware's implementation of the protocol will allow. In practise, the BCF2000 works very well, as it doesn't do anything silly with the button presses - the only limitations are imposed by the relatively small number of buttons when compared to a real Mackie unit (though there are a lot of combination presses, so it's a lot more capable than it might first appear). Some very early builds were tested with the Tascam US2400 and there were issues because this surface sends multiple mode button codes for each button press, so the output was a little messy - I'm waiting to hear how the latest build performs.
