Dear list, I am making a budget to get a new laptop, soundcard, midi controller, and control surface and I am looking for recommendations. I am currently using a Dell Studio Laptop running Vista 64 bit and this system has worked reasonably ok with Sonar. Although I am working with Dell, I am opened to listen to users of other brands and OS HP, Mac, etc. My soundcard is the M-audio Fast track Ultra and it has also done a reasonable job and I am also opened to alternative brands in soundcards.
