Very good. Depending on what you want to pay, you could have tons of good options. The NT2A is fairly inexpensive. Also like the Studio Projects mics which are also a good value and even make a pretty good vocal mic. Rode makes other mics as well that sound good in my humble opinion, but then you also start needing to ask the question if you want a mic that has one particular characteristic or just want a very flat mic etc. Some have very definite coloring, which is ok if you know what they are and know what you are looking for. Hope you get several opinions but there is mine. Can't go wrong with many. Best of luck. Dave

Thank you Dave,

There are 3-4 options including NT2A.
I will try and look it tomorrow.

I think you might be very pleased with the Rode NT2A. It has variable
paterns alongwith a very nice sound that doesn't seemed especially
colored but pretty accurate representation. Like ability to change
paterns from time to time, depending on the room etc. Plus, for its
price, it is very low noise. Dave

Hi Phil,
This is a demo from Youtube. In this demo, an amplifier jack has been
insorted to the instrumant; but I'd like to record it as naturel;

That depends. What does the instrument sound like? Does it have steal
or
nilon strings etc.
