Getting a good acoustic sound requires a good microphone.
that usually means a condenser or 2 of them if you wish to record in stereo.
A k g and Audio Technica make some fairly good condensers for pretty reasonable
money though now that AKG is Chinese, I have not heard any.
Use your ears to find the sweet spot for recording. It's common to put one
around 8 to 10 inches at an angle towards the soundhole and a bit lowered and
oneabout 8 to 10 inches at the 12th fret and again aimed inward if 2 tracks are
used.
