Hey Chris. I would also ask this question over on the VIP Audio list.

Subject: [ddots-l] New DAW Specs
Feedback wanted, or help spend Chris's money!
I've been using my current PC for 8 years, but it's finally time to upgrade in
a big way.
Here are some specs for a proposed DAW. Yes, I know there's a lot more to it
than component selection, but I'm wondering what people think of the following.
I want something that will last several years.
Case: Mid tower - black
Mainboard: ASUS Prime Z390-A Motherboard LGA1151 (Intel 8th and 9th
Gen)
ATX DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 Gigabit LAN
CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K
Ram: 32 GB DDR4 Aluminum heatsinked
Drive1: 1 TB 3D-NAND SSD
Drive2: 2 TB 3D-NAND SSD
USB BAY: Additional 5.25" USB bay with USB 3.0 and USB-C outlets (if
required)
DVD-Writer
Power Supply: 500 Watt 80-Plus quiet - single thermal fan
Windows 10: 64 bit Professional
I have a choice on the CPU between these two. Which would you pick and why?
1 - Intel BX80684I79700K Core i7-9700K Desktop Processor 8 Cores 3.6Ghz (Up to
4.9 GHz) Turbo Unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W
2- Intel BX80684I59600K Core i5-9600K Processor, 6 cores 9MB Cache, up to
3.7 GHz
Thanks for any opinions on the above!
Chris
