First, you have to make sure your synth is in USB mode and not midi mode, so that you can start transmitting data. Second, keep your synth's local controls off. Third, find instrument definition files for your synth if they're available. Hi again, I just bought a Casio WK500 keyboard and it is now connected to my computer via USB. I have Sonar 6 Producer. I just sold my Korg X5 (my former keyboard controller). What do I have to do/change settings, etc. in order to use this new keyboard? The X5 had been connected via the midi cables through the sound card. If you wish, you can send me your phone number offlist and we can speak on the phone. My phone number is 212 995-1137. Thank you for any help you can offer.
