[ddots-l] Re: Novation X-Station or Micro Korg anyone? There must be a decent synth (even virtual analog) out there?

        Allo Arnaud,

Do the knobs (dials) (the ones used to select preset sounds), do they use
detentes (little clicks or notches) to move from one up and down to the next
sound, Or are they just one fluid motion meaning you have to guess what
sound or parametre has been selected?

There is a brand new MicroKorg XL very soon to be released. It has made
some improvements over the original MicroKorg.

I am looking for a little synth that I can tweak the sounds and effects
easily as a blind person.

I am also wondering about the Novation X-Staition. I wonder about the audio
synth side of the X-Station. My local music shop has one on order so I can
try it out.

Any other suggestions?

I realize that both of these are not super serious keyboard synthesizers.
They are Virtual analog machines that some would consider toys but the
Youtube videos for these 2 machines make them seem very fun and easy to use.

I'm not that concerned about the vocoder but the arpeggiator is important to
me.

Any ideas, comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you / Merci,
Stacy

yes, I had one in 2004 and quickly sold it.

I was not able to memorize where parametters are...

anyway, the vocoder stuff and size of the synth makes it a cute gear, but
it's not enough for me to keep this...
