Well, for what I know, a trackball is essentially a upsidedown mouse.
If exist any brand with a scroll weel that could work within Sonar I suppose. It's needed to movements; to emulate up and down adjustment parameters values; like brackets, or up and down middle arrows, or any other dcombination of 2 keys. The scroll weel has got only up and down movements, so it become something like a fader. Beside, the center ball wont gonna be handly if you dont see, since controls only the point mouse., but the left and right buttons will be handlly.

Take care,
Rui Vilarinho

Hi, Rui.
Is there software that gives a blind user the ability to use a track ball?
My husband mentioned seeing producers use track balls and we both wondered
if this were possible for blind Sonar users.

Thanks,
Dani

For a long time I use a wireless mouse hardware, most of all because of the

mouse scroll weel, that I use at most of Sonar's adjustment parameters,
like track view volume pan etc, bus stuff and inspector, all of it.
But, to make it happen I use a secondary software called Mouse Weel Control,
that aloud me to define the folowing setup:
you move up or down the scroll weel, trigger's the brackets keys.
Very handly for fast adjustments, specially reverb, delays, fx adjustment,
for automatation also, without any Jaws speach interrupting .

I use it most of all in outdoors, since i usually dont carry my BCF2000
surface controler. grin .
Anyhow, both are a great tool for fastier Sonar manipulation.

Take care,

guys,

I realize most of us don't actually use computer mice. but how many of
you, particularly those of you who are totally or substantially totally
blind have physical mice connected to your systems?

On a slightly related topic, how many of you use NVDA for any reason, not
just music? If you do, what is the equivalent of the JAWS cursor in NVDA?

that is, if you had a situation where something could be read only with a
second NVDA specific cursor, how would you engage it?
thanks,
Kevin
