I hadn't heard that. Definitely a lousy day. I can't walk down Baker
Street without that tune going through my head and it always makes me smile.
My lasting memory of Carnes was watching him accompany a Japanese poet
reading her stuff whilst he played fretless - this was on the Old Grey
Whistle Test (showing my age now) and I think it was the most understated
piece of amazing bass playing I've ever heard.

Thanks for letting us know.

Best wishes.

Hi.

Sorry for the OT, but just wanted to say RIP to Gerry Rafferty and Mick Kahn
former bassist with Japan, both who died today.

Very sad news indeed.

Cheers
Darren
