Friends,
My brother in-law, for whom I've been helping care during the last 2 years, passed away this past Friday, May 13, 2011. His suffering is over. My family and I thank you all for you prayers and well-wishes. (The Obituary is below.)

"Always with me, Always with you"

Two years after the devastating diagnosis of Lou Gehrig's Disease, Rand Morgan was gently and peacefully relieved of his suffering on the morning of May 13, 2011. ALS may have ravaged his body, but it could not break his spirit.

Rand was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and graduated from Sandia High School. Loved and admired by many, Rand was a stand-up guy, always striving to do the right thing. Rand received his Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology at NMSU and had great respect for the natural environment and the beauty of New Mexico. He worked at the NM-DOT for 10 years and received many awards and commendations for his service before having to retire due to his illness. An avid golfer and hunter, Rand was an awesome son, a devoted brother, a sincere friend, a loyal husband, and a loving father. Rand is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marilee Morgan, his two children, Shennon Andrew Morgan and Emma Nicole Morgan, his very sweet grandmother Edith Mable Flowers, parents Clifford Owen Morgan and Elizabeth Duran-Morgan, and Cathy Lattimer, and sisters Cara Marie Morgan and Kayla Catherine Morgan.
