you can do it with sfz but then you'll have to take your computer along. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grant Zolninger" <gzolninger1@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 22, 2007 3:37 PM Subject: [ddots-l] OT live sample playback Hello again it has been a long while since I have written. I am hoping to get some pointers on how to record/sample backing vocals and then be able to trigger them in a live performance. I am most interested with the type of equipment needed to pull this off. I am considering purchasing the motif. I understand that it is blind friendly and is capable of sampling. Can I record something in Sonar, get it in to the motif, and then trigger it on demand with a push of any key? Or, is it more complex than that. Is there a less expensive way to do this without the motif? Sorry for the ignorance, but I just don't understand sampling and triggering etc. Thanks, Grant ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
