[ddots-l] Question about control surfaces?

In trying to program the axiom to work with Sonar, I'm getting closer, I've noticed a problem. If I run Sonar without the axiom turned on, the control surface I've added gets messed up.

In order to get the transport buttons working I added an mmc surface, and set the input to the axiom and the output to none. If the axiom isn't turned on when I start sonar, the input gets set to none. How can I stop this? Or is there a quick way to reset the input? Right now all I know to do is delete and re-add the surface.

P.S.

I hope to have a guide written up for getting the axiom working, when i figure it all out.
