Hello,

The discussion of panning and flexibility reminded me of a few questions
I have regarding the track stereo or mono interleave setting in sonar
version 8.5.3:

1, can this setting be quickly set for all selected tracks on the fly,
similar to how it might be done for track volume, pan or patch?
I would leave the soft synths set to stereo but others set to mono.

I may have an answer for my own question which is to set up a template
where the interleave is set to mono on selected tracks, which is what
I'd prefer, And save this template as the normal, default template. But
this brings me to my next question:

2, Does this setting effect recording in any way, or does it have some
other consequence I need to be aware of? Is there some reason for
leaving it at the default Stereo setting?

The short story is that if I leave interleave set to stereo I find I
cannot pan my audio tracks which are all recorded monaurally in the left
channel.
Moreover, I just don't like hearing my newly recorded audio coming from
one side, so having interleave set to mono takes care of all this..

Perhaps there's another approach I might try which I just haven't
considered.

Help much appreciated.

Sincerely,

John Sanfilippo
