Hi Chris,
By default your 1 and 2 outputs will be for your main speakers - your phones
will be on another pair of outputs, but I can't help you with the numbering. On
my UFX+ I have 2 sets of phones that appear on outputs 9/10 and 11/12 - this
might be the same if you have more than 8 analogue outputs on your FS. After
that, here's what to do in the accessibility app:
1 - Within the top level of the main tree ("Mixer") Check "Control Outputs";
2 - In the main tree, go down to "Submix Solo", then Tab until you get to the
output number that represents your phones (9, in my case) and check it with the
Space Bar. This selects the mix that will appear on the selected output pair;
3 - Go back to the main tree and change to "Control Inputs" within "Mixer";
4 - From the main tree, go down to "Volume", Tab to the input channel for your
microphone and pull its value down to -U and you should stop hearing it in your
cans.
Best wishes.

Subject: [ddots-l] RME Interface: Wanting to not monitor a mic
I have a Babyface Pro FS.
For some reason, I can't figure out how to stop hearing the unprocessed signal
from a microphone in my headphones. I just want to hear the processed results
coming from Reaper's own track monitor.
Or at least, I want to be able to toggle between the two easily.
I've been all through the RME accessibility tool, checking Analog 1 as an
output, as a playback, as an input, and nothing seems to kill it in the cans.
Anyone else here have an RME interface who can tell me what I might be doing
wrong?
It's really bugging me that I can't figure out this simplest of tasks.
LOL There is something about RME's routing that I am not getting.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Chris
