Hi! This weekend I am attempting to MIDI a drummer's Roland TD10 drum kit up
to my Tascam FW 1884 to record his MIDI notes into Sonar 7. I then hope to
play these notes through a soft synth like the Session Drummer. Does anyone
know if the Roland V Series kits are automatically set up to match the GM
assigned notes of the Session Drummer and other kits within Sonar 7? I have
never created a drum map, and I need to know if I should start learning how.
I'm a beginner in Sonar and having lots of fun. I'm hoping I can plug up and
go. Any help on this would be appreciated. Also, is it possible in Sonar 7 to
send just a metronone click out through the Tascam's headphone jack while the
other recorded music and metronone click is coming out of their usual assigned
outputs? I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
S.B.
