[ddots-l] Rex2 musical grooves conforming to key signature?

Howdy list,
I noticed different sources of information for the rex2 format indicates
that rex2 files can conform to the tempo and key signature of music
projects.
Although I do see that the rex2 format automatically conforms to the
tempo of my projects, I don’t see the files when imported to sonar as
audio, that they conform to the key signature of the project.
In fact, I have tried to change the key signature of the audio tracks
where I import the rex2 files and it all sounds the same.
What do you make of this?
