I have a usb mixer as well. My mom tryed to get me one, but someone told us that we need a fantum something? i think forgot what kind of mixer it is.this sucks cuz i think it has a sound card on it, but we do not have enough jacks on it to even hook up the mikes¬!
i got the speekers and the Moteef up to it, but that's about it. I don't know what to do when trying to get sonar to go through it though.don't know what cable to use to let windows see that it's a sound card, if it has one.
i say this cuz the mixer has a record , stop , and play . button so i'm asooming that it does. sorry for spelling... On 08/08/2010 01:06 PM, Dennis Madsen wrote:
Hi Tom!I am not to strong in this matter but in my own set up i am using a external sound card that is build in to my console. I only have a usb connection between the computer and the mixer consule. Output from this console is directed to the monitors. So i dont have a wire from the console to the computer despite from the usb connection. I dont know if the Beringer has a build inn soundcard and how your set up is made. But i think that you are getting a monitor signal ruted wrong so it comes back to the computer. than it can be the connection from the mixer that is generating the metronome on your recordings. You need sighted assistance. I always mark my plugs with self adensive rubber bums to be able to locate them again after a disconection. Just a bit of advise to late!Good luck! Question should I be bringing the output from the PC back into the mixer? I actually did have it working like that I can't seem to find a way to hear it but bypass the recording process. A friend told me that I should be routing the output of the PC to my pre amp and monitor speakers that way it won't be recorded. I thought you should route the PC out through the mixer If you can tell me what's correct I'd appreciate.btw, I have a small beringer, not to complex but it's got me. Difficult to say without knowing your line up. I think it is possible that you have a monitor signal plug in as a send to an external effect. try to mute all monitors and record. If the metronome is gone it is than just to find the vrong conections.
