California Sun is Ok, a bit grungy sounding for my taste but works in certain situations. I really like Pod Farm Free, though you do need an ilok key to use it. They seem to respond more like the real thing... http://speakerblower.com/store/process.php?pname=ShowAlbumDetailsProcess-Start&CategoryID=6&AlbumID=10 http://www.auraplug.com/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=10 ----- Original Message ----- From: Henrik Leander To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 22, 2010 8:41 AM Subject: [ddots-l] SV: Re: suggestion for guitar amp simulation I've been using Simulanalog quite a lot. How are the other free ones (freeamp & bitz and peaces) compared to that? I really like the amp simulation of simulanalog. It responds more like a real amp than any of the comercial ones Ive tried. It also responds great if you connect pedals. /Henrik ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Från: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] För Mike Christer Skickat: den 20 mars 2010 22:34 Till: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Ämne: [ddots-l] Re: suggestion for guitar amp simulation Very few of them are totally accessible... Earlier versions of Native Instruments Guitar Rig are slightly more user friendly, and, in my opinion, sound pretty damn good. There are various free ones available like Free Amp, Simul Analog Suite, not to mention bitz & pieces from Araldaz, AcmeBarGig and Le Pou. The latter ones are real good when used along some kinda impulse reflection plug-in, but unfortunately, the IR plug-ins along with the actual reflections are a real bitch when it comes to latency! Best thing is to do some research which is boring, but hey... l8r Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Harrington To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, March 20, 2010 5:40 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: suggestion for guitar amp simulation What is the best one out there that's accessible? Have only used a couple real basic ones and know there must be better quality ones than those that come with the sonar program. Thanks in advance, Dave
