Unlimited budget? Ok, check out the RME Babyface Pro FS. It doesn't have many ins and outs, but it does have high and low Z headphone amps, XLR outs, a pair of XLR ins and another pair of 1/4 ins, a single MIDI in/out, and a single S/PDIF in/out. 100% accessible thanks to a little utility you can get from Can Kirca <cankirca@xxxxxxxxx>

You mentioned Windows XP. You'll have to make sure the control software for the unit and the accessibility tool from Can Kirca will all still run under XP. I'm not sure.

but RME interfaces have the quietest preamps, the most stable drivers, and they are practically immune to digital jitter.

They're not cheap though. The Babyface Pro FS will run you about a grand.

Chris,

Thank you!  Two inputs, two outputs, a headphone jack would be helpful as well.  Unlimited budget.

I could definitely use more channels, but not necessary.  Connecting to a XP machine, but it doesn’t have to be XP, I could load Sonar on my laptop.

How many inputs and outputs do you need? and does it need to have physical faders, i.e. a mixer section?

Most important, what's your budget?

    Folks,

What interface could I use with CakeTalking/Sonar other than the
