[ddots-l] Simple Instrument Soft Synth Tracks VS Pairs of Tracks

Hi all!
I'm learning how to use Garritan Personal Orchestra. I believe
there's the option for both simple instrument track or pairs of
tracks-audio and midi each. Are there any advantages or
disadvantages for each choice? I'd appreciate any input.
