Hi John.

some soft synths allow for changing hte volume on the midi track, but some, like the Z3TA you need to use the audio volume function to change the level.

Cheers
Darren

Subject: [ddots-l] Soft synth volume question.

Heyo all. What controls soft synth volume? If I just insert a soft synth and start playing it, the meter for its audio track is always around like 8 DB or such. That's crazy. What do I want to change to lower that? Volume on the midi track? Volume on the audio track? Trim on the audio track? Do I need to be doing something different when I insert the synths? I just do alt-i and then pick the synth. This is like the standard stuff that comes with sonar, 6 producer BTW, so tts1, pentagon, etc.
