Hey, Darren. Thanks for the encouraging words, and now I don't feel so bad about not having grasped the concepts yet. The fact that it took you a year encourages me because I'm thinking it may take me at least that long.

                   God bless you.
                   Bobby Lusk.

Hi all.

I'm glad that you seem to enjoy the Space Jump track, I enjoyed recording it.

Bob, thank you for the kind comments, it's taken about a year to get to a point where I can say I kind of know my way around Sonar, but I'm certainly no expert. I just know what I need to know to get whatever task I'm doing accomplished at that time.

if I need to learn a new task, I just get my head inside the game and learn it.

The most important thing to remember is, unless you do something really radical, you're not going to break anything, so just keep experimenting.

Although it's not my kind of music, I enjoyed remixing the Out of the blue track and am quite pleased with the result.

I'm now on the hunt for acapella tracks to try and remix the hell out of.

thanks again.

cheers
Darren

Hello, Darren. I clicked onto your link, and I just wanted to say that I like your version of Out Of The Blue. Too bad it couldn't have made it into the competition, but hey, good job anyway. I thought yur other song was good (even though I'm not really into the new age or techno stuff. However, I'll say this; you sure seem to know what you're doing. Wish I could say the same. Ha ha!
                   God bless you.

Hi all.

I just thought I'd share my latest two tracks with you all to see what you think.

The first one is the remix contest track "Out of the Blue" that kevin Reeves posted about a while ago.

I was too late to enter the contest, but it was a nice little challenge to make a production out of just a vocal track.

the second one is a kind of ambient instrumental thingy called Space Jump and is more akin to the type of music I like to write.

You can hear them at...

www.darrenhartland.com/songs.html

I'd say both tracks are about 80% ready, only a few tweeks here and there until they're finished.

Incidentally, the accessible flash player was obtained from Phil's site and i'd like to thank him for making it available.

Anyway, all comments and critiques are much appreciated and welcomed.

Cheers
Darren
